The useful starting point is usually not a company-wide transformation plan. It is one consequential task or workflow whose operating boundary is still unclear.
Teams use copilots or agents, while handoffs, ownership, exceptions, and decision rights still run as before.
A demo can complete the task, but integration, reliability, adoption, cost, and ongoing ownership remain unresolved.
No one has yet defined who may approve, override, stop, recover, or accept the resulting decision.
HOW I WORK
This is a working approach, not a fixed sequence or maturity model. The smallest sufficient scope may be one task, one workflow, or a connected business system.
Clarify the outcome, current workflow, decision owner, evidence, constraints, and unresolved unknowns.
Map tasks, context, agents and tools, human authority, exceptions, accountability, and the evidence each decision needs.
Use bounded prototypes, harnesses, and evaluation against representative cases to expose operating conditions and failure paths.
When conditions are agreed, put the work into accountable operations and record outcomes, exceptions, changes, and limits.
